Former star of the Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe Warriors, Willard Katsande, has started painting and plumbing while preparing for life after football.
The strong Zimbabwean midfielder left Amakhosi earlier this year after a decade with the club. The 35-year-old holds the club’s record for best foreign player after playing for the Kaizer Chiefs in 326 games in all competitions.
Katsande, who now plays for Sekhukhune United, is now preparing for life after retiring from football. The midfielder, who doesn’t seem to care what people say or think of him, started the Katsande Partners business to prepare for his new life.
Speaking to the online publication Daily Sun, Katsande said:
“I can tell it’s a new business now, but I registered the company in 2017. But I’ve still learned, now I’m hard at work. It is now operating full time. We do a lot of work from home renovations, indoor and outdoor, to handyman services like bathroom fixtures, kitchen fixtures and ceilings. “

Katsande also said that he has a number of other projects that he is working on. However, he did not want to give details until next year.
“I’m a busy man, but a lot will be announced early next year. We cook a lot. “
The Katsande painting and plumbing company currently employs eight people. “Salt and Vinegar,” as Katsande was affectionately known by legions of Amakhosi fans, said he started the painting and plumbing business to take care of his family.
“I am doing this for a better future for my family and children. My football career is about to end and I still have to take care of it. I also do this to inspire people.
