The notice for the discontinuation of Greyhound bus services has left people in shock as they were not looking forward to it and had booked their tickets to travel after lockdown.
Greyhound is a South Africa based bus company that has provided transport for both local and regional citizens this which includes traveling from Bulawayo to Harare. According to customers the services were excellent and they valued their customers.
The company announced that it will be closing for good on the 14th of February and all tickets booked beyond the stated date in advance are to be dismissed with immediate effect .
“As of 14 February 2021, Greyhound and Citiliner will be closing operations. Our services will be running up until 14 February 2021.
All passengers who have tickets booked for services after this date will be refunded in full. For assistance with receiving your refund, contact our Call Centre 011 611 8000 or 087 352 0352 or email your ticket reference number and contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It has been our pleasure connecting you across Southern Africa for the past 37 years. Thank you to all our passengers for your continued support”.
This notice was preceded by comments that appreciated Greyhound for the excellent services it offered. One of the client says the services werr however deteriorating so the break was worth it.
There are no doubts that the bus company left people heartbroken as they were looking forward to travel with Greyhound again.
Coronavirus is being stated as one of the reasons and clients are worried about the employees that are going to stop working when Greyhound shuts down.
From the look of the comments, this is the saddest news to start with this month.
