Chitungwiza Municipality has invited applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Land Survey Technician in its Urban Planning Department.
The local authority is looking for a professional with a Degree in Land Survey and Geomatics or an equivalent qualification who is registered with the Council for Land Surveyors. Applicants must have at least two years of post-qualification experience and a clean criminal record.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating survey records, including dispensation certificates, general plans and survey diagrams. Other duties include conducting topographical surveys, preparing survey maps and reports, verifying survey pegs and boundaries before the allocation of stands, and liaising with the Surveyor-General’s Office and registered land surveyors on title surveys.

The Land Survey Technician will also provide guidance to clients on title survey procedures, ensure compliance with surveying regulations and municipal policies, prepare periodic reports on surveying activities, and perform any other duties assigned by the Town Planner.
